McKinsey & Company Hello, it’s been a very hard couple of months applying for jobs and not hearing back. I interviewed at Facebook (Meta) , McKinsey & Company through referrals. I keep getting beat down because I don’t get callbacks from submitting my resume directly to the company (only 3 so far out of hundreds).
My background is in Biotechnology (Master’s) and Biomedical engineering with industry experience in Reg Affairs + Project Management.
I want to work on product teams in high growth companies.
Any tips?

Anyone have experience applying to roles that are a bit out of reach? I’m looking at a few roles asking for 5 or 6 years of experience while I’m at 4. I’ve had success with this is past but I’m not sure how strict google is with this. Thanks!

I had a HR Discussion after clearing 2 HCL rounds and 2 client interviews . HR is not considering moving above 40% hike no matter whatever I say to justify, the Discussion was like talking to a wall . Any suggestions to get another 10-15% more (first offer)? Will HR reject me stating this reason in HCL ?? FYI- Client and the project team wants to take him in as per their feedback to me and I feel i am the right person for the role too .. 9 years exp -Infra storage domain .

Recently gone through ICICI bank debt manager DSMG interview, HR told will provide non industry matching hike because my last switch was just 6 months ago. What should be the expected CTC? Currently working as collection manager at HDB financial services Ltd, CTC-5.1, Work exp-4.9Y.

Is it a good Idea to switch after 6 months if project is not suitable or should stay for longer?

I have observed that people on testing domain or frontend are getting better pay than other new tech domains like blockchain, cyber security, data sci etc(4-11yr exp) .
For less than 4 years experience new tech job gettig good pay but others getting very less.

In dev job Java, spring r etc getting better pay. Also some SAP consultant are also get paid high.
Is exp people in testing/frontend dev are less due to which they getting better pay than others with experience.
