The salary offered is a good starting salary for someone just starting their career. However, if you are looking for a job with more growth potential, then you may want to negotiate for a higher salary.
Do your research. Know what the average salary is for your position in your area, and be prepared to discuss why you feel you are worth that amount. Next, come up with a proposed salary range that you are comfortable with. Finally, be prepared to back up your proposal with proof of your qualifications and experience. Good luck!
Checking at glassdoor, I could see this job avg pay is $72K. So I would advise to negotiate with them letting them know you know what the avg pay is but also letting know your are flexible. Because $63k is not that bad after all, you just need a little adjustment that you could also negotiate to get on a performance evaluation.
Hello! Thanks for the reply, yes, I just checked glassdoor and the averaga base is $66k and $4k in bonus, totaling to around $70k. Should I mention to them that I’m flexible up front? Will that make them not want to rise the number?
