Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

Coach
Ask to meet and just tell them it’s nothing personal, thank them for the opportunity and promise to keep in touch (and mean it).
Enthusiast
Draft up the resignation email/letter so you are ready to send right after you have a 1-1 chat with your boss. Write down some talking points:
Beginning: Thank them for being a supportive/wonderful/etc boss
Middle: you’re leaving for xyz reasons - be succinct, but share as much as you’re comfortable. You don’t owe them full explanation
End: intended next steps (your letter) and that you’ll follow up with action plan on how to transfer projects to others
A good boss should be excited for you even if they’ll lose you as a team member. Good luck.
I appreciate your response
