Help! I have 188,000 Marriott pts and I’m trying to book a stay that costs 190,000 pts via the app. Is there a way I can spend all my points and somehow pay the remaining “2,000 pts” in cash? Or do I need to buy 2000 pts somehow? Should I call them directly?

Call Marriott service line and ask for 2k courtesy points and if they can book it for you.

Worked for me before but ymmv, if they don’t want to play ball they will tell you that you can purchase points to cover the gap.

Thank you for all the responses, I was panicking bc I didn’t want the rates to go up lol. I did end up calling and they had me buy 2000 pts which was only $25 which was well worth it to me bc now I get to stay at the St Regis which I otherwise had no hope of staying in for the cash price 😅

Rewards>transfer to travel partners> Marriott
It’s actually a pretty bad redemption rate but there’s a bonus on right now so would be a bit better. For would cost you about 1500 chase points

smart

I’m happy to gift you 2000 points

like

Just call Marriott and ask to split.

Make sure you don’t drop below your status limit.

Book the n-1 on points (n= number of nights), for last night separate reservation with points and cash ..

There’s also a nightly split option when you press…”book now”

Buy the points

Select points and cash
