always negotiate...should go without saying
Go to payscale and put in your details/location for market rate
Payscale puts this offer at 90th percentile of the market for the role/location
Too low: negotiate an MBA salary!
Range?
This seems low to me for someone with 13 years total experience and an MBA. Most people straight out of b school make more.
Sorry to hear you were laid off. That certainly changes the calculus of the offer. Congrats!
What energy company?
Is this position located in Texas? That seems like a good offer IMO. Salary may be a bit low but your sign on and performance bonus is higher and makes up for it.
Haha, so Nextera. Great company take it for sure.
Always negotiate. What pay are you at now? I generally say you should be getting at least a 25% bump when changing jobs. Where was your mba from? Seems a little low post-mba.
Still negotiate. 50%+ is a big jump so I would definitely take it. Try to ask for 10% more or so and maybe a little more signing bonus. Congrats!
Congrats OP - I was also given my notice (not performance related) a found a new role with a similar increase (40%) it seems like ACN was under paying quite a few of us
If its NextEra would say take it, they promote fast
Yeah...they're playing you. Look up salaries on Glassdoor.
MBA is probably not a major need for this role, I imagine your prior experience is what they value and your MBA is icing on the cake. For context, in oilfield services Dir roles might pay ~$180TC, so $150TC for a SM isn't that low.
I agree that you should negotiate, at least get the sign on to 50k or get 2 extra weeks of vacation. If nothing materializes, it is still a great offer. Take it. Glad you're over the layoff hump. Congrats and goodluck!
I am 10 years older than you making this much in healthcare consulting with an MBA and PMP. I didn’t get a sign-on at all. Was laid off from last job. Live in So Cal.
Some of these numbers baffle me or maybe I am getting screwed 😂. I would take it.
