Hey everyone. Are any partner/MDs/directors able to share some knowledge on the following:

i) what is the precise path to partnership after director? Is it true that typically once someone is promoted to MD, that you’re generally not on the path to partner? Ive seen MD’s make partner and ive seen directors make partner. What is the difference in these paths and why?

ii) what is the compensation range for deals Managing Director in a Tier 1 city (NYC, etc.)

So I just started a new job in sales (B2B specifically). All my life I’ve been in blue collar jobs, military, then construction work ect. I don’t have much money saved to get myself my own business cards as I’m sure they are important to have, I’ve got all the info that I need to go out and start selling. Hey fishes, can someone tell me how the 80c bracket works, i know i can get exempt upto 1.5lakh under it, what i wanna know is does PF comes under it or not? For example if my yearly pf deduction is 20k and VPF is 10k so now will i still be able to show investment of 1.5lakh under 80c apart from PF and VPF or i'll be able to get exemption on only 1.2 lakh( 1.5lakh-30k= 1.2lakh)?

is anyone familiar with pay differentials, negotiating for a temporary raise or some other form of compensation for extra work? 3 coworkers on my team have recently resigned, and certain shifts are being expected to work at half staff until new hires can be brought on. if my workload is being doubled, i expect to be compensated, as they are paying one employee to do the work of two. any suggestions or wording on how to address this?

HR lady said that they will give you that when you start. I would like that now (written format). She told me verbally the percentages but I do not recall them.
