Im passively looking to change jobs and I saw a post where someone said that responding to recruiters messages on LinkedIn was not a good move. Anyone has info on this? I’ve responded to several messages on LinkedIn but nothing has worked out yet (missing skills, not enough comp, etc)

Just found out my raise for the year and it’s an increase of 5.6%. It is the raise I would’ve received last year, but then that was halted due to covid and no one got raises. I’m the most senior associate and have been told I’m on partner track, but I think the raise should’ve been higher and am pissed, but I’m also grateful to still have a job with covid. What raises have you gotten and how has covid impacted your compensation? I’m in a mid size insurance defense firm in the PNW.

Got an offer from a start up and it’s lower cash comp then my current comp but they claim they are giving more equity. I’m not sure when company will ipo and actually value of RSU since they are a private company.. is it worth the risk to bet on late stage start up with rsu’s and lower cash comp?

SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. I had couple of round interview at Accenture Operations and the last round as per my understanding went best (The interviewer was comfortable discussing my expectations related to kind of work ) but post that interview I checked my application status at Accenture portal and it is showing your candidature is on Hold !!!

Hey everyone. Are any partner/MDs/directors able to share some knowledge on the following:

i) what is the precise path to partnership after director? Is it true that typically once someone is promoted to MD, that you’re generally not on the path to partner? Ive seen MD’s make partner and ive seen directors make partner. What is the difference in these paths and why?

ii) what is the compensation range for deals Managing Director in a Tier 1 city (NYC, etc.)
