I have an offer from BCG gamma the a for Software Engineer role.

The constant feedback in all interviews was "Long working hours ". Hiring manager said 10-12 hours is normal. It goes upto 13-15 sometimes.
Is it really this bad? If this is then how is it sustainable?

I have offers from firms that will surely not have this long hours. Should I drop BCG and join one of them?

People that have small children - how do you deal with your child’s stress and separation anxiety when you go to work? My 4-year old goes berserk almost every day at some point relating to me having to work. The worst part is that I’ve been working from home bc of Covid and I’m literally just walking upstairs after giving hugs and kisses and saying see you soon 800 times. My spouse is a stay at home parent, but that doesn’t seem to matter to my son. A piece of me dies everyday because of this.

Can someone explain the difference between FB’s Partner Solutions Manager and the Strategic Partner Manager? Should I wait more and look for more opportunities or should I join. I don't know how much compensation should I get at 3.2 yoe. Plz suggest.

Hello Fishes, British petroleum Grade-7 in Digital functions or Wipro C1 Business Value Architect, fixed pay is almost same Wipro is paying 2 lacs more variable than BP.

After my HR round today, Hr called up and said that will move forward with the offer but approvals with higher management might take some time as there is a hiring freeze.
Do you think offer will be released? And how much time these approvals take ?

She mentioned at the end that they are definitely going to offer as all feedbacks are positive.
But it all depends on the approvals.

I recently joined a product company and not happy with project.. There does not appear to be any planning in team.. And wlb is not great..
Also 11 years exp and joined at grade 8.. Seems most join at grade 10+ here..on top of this now hybrid, but HR told wfh..best place to work etc so we give wfh..Should i start trying again less than 4 months..
