1) Try to avoid buying “unhealthy” food and snacks like candy, chips, beer, etc. at the grocery store (especially in bulk). If you don’t have it on hand, you won’t eat it.
2) Try to track your steps and walk a decent amount (8000+) every day even if you can’t otherwise work out. Walk around during a call or while reviewing documents or slides etc.
3) Try to get enough sleep. Avoid excessive screen time after you’re done with work.
4) Focus on prepping solid, balanced meals in advance and making that 90% of what you eat. All of your meals should have fruits or vegetables and a protein source. A carb source is optional but recommended (in moderation) 2x a day.
5) Avoid liquid calories like sodas and juices. They’re generally not filling.
6) Exercise at least 2x a week. Even if the week is impossible, do something on the weekend.
7) Try to enjoy treats once in a while, but watch the portion sizes. Otherwise look into lower calorie substitutes like halo top instead of regular ice cream.
8) Optional, but maybe weigh yourself at the same time every day (ideally when you wake up) and just watch the weekly trends, don’t worry about day to day
Thank you! This is helpful
