Parents are deciding between moving to WVirginia vs Virginia at retirement to be closer to us based in fairfax (ideally be at 1 hour driving distance). $325k TC at MBB in a non-generalist (still partner track) path. My thought is that if I don't get off the waitlist, I can do the MS MIT this year then the EMBA next year. My mentor thinks the MS MIT might pigeon-hole me into the tech-only world and be redundant if I'm going to go on to get the EMBA.

Recent exp hire in consulting and would love some input. Pre hire was promised by leadership that the firm was doing lots of interesting strategy work in a niche, cutting edge but rapidly growing field.
