I want to move from Energy/Oil and Gas to Financial Domain.

Is the move from technology consulting (specifically oracle implementations) to risk advisory for financial services a possible pivot ? EY’s risk advisory is hiring and the day to day seems way more interesting than mundane implementation work (as financial services risk combines areas of technology, compliance, finance,operational)

Does anybody work in a rule for a litigation finance or legal funding company who doesn't hail from a big law firm in background? Basically I have a lot of interest in the area have read a book about it in my free time and was wondering what sort of entry level opportunities I should be seeking.

I need everyone’s help😭 Money aside, how did you finalize which idea to pursue? I’m struggling to narrow it down from 4. Focusing is not an issue for me once I’m locked in, but I’m struggling to get there because I haven’t finalized which idea to focus on. Hi Fishes, Need advise on tech stack. I am a Mainframe developer with 6+ years of experience. Which tech stack would be more suitable between Devops or Data Science or Mainframe modernization. Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

Should I be concerned? I found out that my billable rate is significantly less than my peers due to heavy client discount. Does this affect career growth at all?

Currently an ACA holder. Feel like accounting/audit may not my thing and doing CFA could help me out in more analysis and strat & ops roles. Is it worth getting it? Also, if lets say I only pass level 1 or don’t go to next level due to some reason. Does it still make sense to pursue it ?

Expecting an offer from both Deloitte India and Capgemini.
Deloitte India - Senior Consultant
Capgemini - Associate Consultant

Capgemini has verbally promised me 9 LPA but the offer is yet to be released.
Deloitte India has not yet communicated any offer, neither verbal nor formal.

I am more inclined towards joining Deloitte India as it is a bigger position than Capgemini.

Things are apparently going to get better after a client will be leaving, I’ll get to work on different brands but I am feeling pretty burnt out from the agency I’m at. Will new clients help? Or should I look elsewhere. Been at the agency almost 3 years, I feel like I need to switch things up for my sanity.

Friendly reminder that if your company doesn’t give you at least a 6% raise this year to account for inflation, they’re essentially giving you a pay cut. Time to start looking elsewhere!

Last week on Friday, I have given Hexaware interview and just after the first round of interview with the client and the manager ( 3 people in the interview panel) , I got the congratulations mail that I have cleared the interview process . I have received mail to submit all my documents and fill CAF form.. After doing all these,on Monday Hr called me to inform my offer letter is in progress.But then I got a rejection mail ,and after that Hr stopped picking my call .. @Hexaware
