For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.

So I have been seeing a guy for 4 months. We have a pay disparity.. he earns less than I do (by quite a bit). He has mentioned a few times that he’s worried I’ll get bored of him when I know he can’t afford the same things I can. I think we are beginning to move past this, but now he’s starting to mention things like ‘I am really broke this month’, and last weekend he told me his mum has lost her job and he’ll have to probably pay her rent. Hi folks. I have overall 5.5 years experience and an MBA from a tier 2 IIM (1.5 years post MBA experience). I’m in presales and I’m finding it extremely documentation heavy and sort of a back end role. I’m not sure how the career growth is in Pre sales. I am thinking of moving back to Delivery. Can you please advise if I should continue in PreSales as far as salary growth is concerned? (I’m getting 17 LPA which I feel is a bit in the lower side)
