I graduated in 2022 with a degree in Sport Management and have had a few great opportunities thanks to my degree since, but I haven't been able to find a full-time role. I am in this bowl because I have become intrigued by a data analyst career, perhaps in a marketing analytics specialization as I am interested in customer feedback and monitoring performance of campaigns. I have worked with Forbes top companies, for-profits, non-profits, & startups. I consider myself a solver of complex & complicated problems requiring mixed method research & novel solutions. This has led to issues in self-referencing title. I’ve been project manager, data engineer, developer, modeler, analysts, principle DB developer, etc. Most of my w2 work has been from offers of 1099 clients so I am usually asked to define my own title. Any T-shaped data people who run into this?

I have 5 YOE in Analytics... always thought I wanted to be a DS, but every job (even the junior ones) required experience in ML development. Though I am part of the ML project, I'm not the person develop the model. And I have a hard time when the interviewer ask about how I develop the model and what hyperparameters I tuned. I know the thought process and stuff but 'I' wasn't the one who did that part in the project. How to convince them that I could do the job without taking credit of others.
