Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

Have you tried JP Morgan ? They believe in giving ‘second chances ‘ to convicts so an ex-cop should be fine!
Would you be able exclude it on a resume/application without a gap on the other experience you have? I.e. only include relevant experience to the role you are applying for.
I have no other gaps in my work experience. I have thought about excluding it, since it is a significant amount of time it usually comes up.
How many years of experience do you have and how long ago were you a police officer? Any way you can just drop it from your resume and leave the experience in IB, PE and start ups?
Also curious about your responses when asked why you decided go into law enforcement for a few years.
I find it odd that you didn’t consider your previous roles to be team oriented since the roles would have been more junior. Care to explain those roles and the firms you worked at? Also, the fact that you felt law enforcement was more team oriented given the current environment is well concerning. The timing around when you joined (2018-2021 has been a huge reckoning for behaviors displayed by police officers) doesn’t give the best impression. Why did you decide to leave?
What’s the nature of your experience in IB, PE etc? Length, role, etc
And are you a branch manager now or still in LE?
This is weird, why would anyone ever have an issue with former LEO experience. This seems discriminatory based on the way your describing it
