I have spent 3 years within FAAS. I have multiple interviews for Management Company Accounting roles within Hedge Funds. Are these good roles to exit public accounting to? How is pay, WLB, growth, career trajectory, etc?

Thinking of quitting without anything lined up. Posting it here only bc I’m on a visa. Not gonna glorify it since I’m quitting only bc I don’t like the nature of my job or the environment. Have no grand big things planned ahead. I’m fine with leaving the country. Has anyone been through this and have any advise?

529 Plan VERSUS Prepaid

We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.

Does anyone have recommendations on which plan to go with for each child? I once did the pros and cons on a whiteboard and it seemed like 529 was better.

How to get released from the tcs project?
in the past i have seen My project manager has not given them a release, in the end they have to resign.
I am in a product support project, i want to switch to another domain.

So I’m an idiot auditor. I am about to promote to senior -I’ve gotten 3s on every review. I have an opportunity to move from audit to deal advisory within B4. Am I equipped to handle the new role??

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
