Hi All, I joined Publicis Sapient in March and I was put on bench after joining. I gave my client round last week for which I was hired however, he did not select me. They are planning to schedule me for another client interview meanwhile I am also looking for opportunities outside.

If I will resign on bench while on probation how long notice period do you think they will ask me to serve. All the calls that I am getting are asking for early joining within 10-15 days. What should I tell them?

For those who travel every week to the client location - Do you file H1B location ammendment for every client you go to? I travel every week and am staffed on 8-12 week projects.

My joining in EY GDS is Feb 21st, anyone else joining on the same day?
How many days before can I expect the onboarding related emails and what are the activities on the initial few days? Usually within how many days project gets assigned?

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

I am planning to shift to Data Analyst/Data scientist role. Right now i work for a project where I'm a software eng & we have to maintain our application on C++ code. It is more like support/dev and unit testing combined. Coding is hardly involved and my hold on DS is weak so not sure if I'll be able to crack technical interviews for C++ dev or anything similar.
So is this a right decision to move from application dev role to Data Science/analyst field? Does software engineer gets paid more?
