Hi all - I need your help. I am currently a senior in Deloitte’s audit practice, and by the end of May 2022 I will be promoted to Manager. Deloitte filed for my PERM in early December when I was clearly a senior, so I am expecting a decision on PERM by late May/June. Does my promotion to Manager in any way slow my GC process down? Will I need to restart perm application from PWD stage again or something?

Update - I reached out to the immigration team. They said they wrote the senior job description in a way to allow growth, and a scenario like mine is pretty common. As long as the perm is filed before promotion it has not had a negative impact on the timeline. Very relieved to hear it straight from them. Thanks all for your advice!
Great news to hear - now rest assured and best of luck in the rest of your journey!

You need to check with your immigration team whether PERM was applied for Manager role. If not, you'll have to unfortunately wait until you have an approved I140 to get promoted to avoid restarting the process.
No I was in the same place as you, they might already be doing the application as potential M

Congrats on making manager!
Thanks!
If the perm is applied based on future position (manager/SM) you should be in a good state

Manager is natural progression so you wouldn’t need to redo it. When My perm was in the certification process I confirmed with the attorneys that if I got promoted it wouldn’t affect it and they said no as promotion in same group shows natural progression.
Same advice as KPMG1 here. You should check for which position the PERM was applied for. If they applied as a manager, you are okay. If as a senior, fingers crossed that you get PERM approval before June; otherwise, may have to refile the PERM.
The natural progression is only after the PERM is done, but up to the point where your PERM is approved, any changes such as promotion may trigger the rework of the PERM. But this seems to be somewhat of a gray area as your case is already filed and it comes down to your lawyer’s judgement.
Oh man this has got me really worried because the job 1 mentioned on my perm document is audit Senior. Shoot.
That should be fine they would show that as career progression
That’s great! Congrats on promo and fingers crossed they process it as fast as possible
