I was working in a small company in Kolkata which i got in a crysis 3.5 years back and they took the advantage and gave me very low ctc. Recently I left them for PwC India. I used to get around 5.5 lpa fixed in my previous company even after 3.5 years and my comeptency was in data science and machine learning. Currently joined for 11 lpa fixed with 10 to 30 prcnt variable as annual performance bonus. I know i got 100 prcnt hike but i still feel underpaid. Pls share opinions.

I’m considering a less sales-oriented role that doesn’t pay commission. The new role will have a higher base but lower overall earning potential.

What % haircut should be expected? As an example, if I make 100k (base + commission) today, would it be realistic to ask for 90k (10% cut) + equity to make up the difference?
