I know Liver King is out there but my roommate has been living by his “9 ancestral tenets” and it basically changed his life. Anyone else that follows something similar seen benefits? Seems like he’s rooted on well being and staying connected with the world around you. Even if you think he’s weird his YouTube video is well put together.

I just got a standing desk a couple of weeks ago. I love it! I also got a balance board though. I find I really liked it when I’m doing more mindless tasks. And I like it in the afternoon during the afternoon slump. I put music on and end up “dancing” on the balance board. I have hip issues and was told for years I should look into it but it wouldn’t have flown before when I was in the office. If I didn’t have a balance board I wouldn’t be able to stand for as long as I can though. I also just got the one that sits on an existing desk.
I got the fluid stance cloud. Less expensive than their original boards and with a layer of cushion on the board.
I had the option for a “standing desk” when we were in office but never asked for one. It was just a contraption you sit on your desk and it can raise or lower.
When we got sent home I did eventually purchase a standing desk. Nothing fancy, I have to manually raise it. I highly recommend a balance board if you do get a standing desk, it was immediately obvious that I needed one.
As for chairs, mine sucks. I’d love recommendations too because every chair I’ve ever had has sucked.
The single best thing for my back has been an inversion table. At first, just hanging and getting used to it. Then some light stretching. Finally, found a way to lock my legs to hold it in the inverted position while I did sit-ups. THAT is what actually changed things for me.
I really want an inversion table but no where to put it in my current space! For sure on the list tho, and I’ll look into a balance board any rec’s for brand? I never even thought of that
