Girlfriend has very obvious high functioning anxiety and body image issues that she admits but thinks she doesn’t need therapy or medication and that reading self-help books will help her. About month ago I was diagnosed with coronary artery disease (CAD) and had to go through cardiac catheterization to get a stent.
I am in mid 30s and it's unbelievable that i have got this. Have been quite down mentally for last few weeks, and don't think if I can sustain the consulting life anymore.

What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since. I just realised it now. My doctor has suggested treating depression (I was also unaware of this) with Wellbutrin first (contd)

Hey folks - I have an inquiry on my credit for a gym membership I “failed to cancel”. I had previously left this gym as it closed during pandemic, and shifted to a new location. In doing so, I informed the gym I would be leaving. However, I recently checked my credit and saw that my membership had not been cancelled and had been sent to collections (prompting an inquiry and dropping my score).

Without fail everyday around 4pm I encounter low-grade depression. This has been ongoing for years and I've tried to combat it through making plans, exercising etc... Anyone else experience this and found healthy solutions?

When did you decide to get medicated? I have what I’d call “high functioning” depression and anxiety. See a therapist and all, but still deal with lows that seem hard to overcome for weeks on end - losing interest, hard to focus on work, sleeping difficulties, etc. Hard to tell when to make that decision!

Thank you for starting this bowl! I just turned 50. I had my one and only child at 41 and went straight into menopause. My symptoms were perhaps confused with postbpatrum and nursing hormone symptoms but bow my hair is dry and frizzy yet somehow also oily and my skin lacks luster and I gain weight so easily. Working from home for eight months has definitely hanged my body shape and not for the better!

I had to get a hysterectomy at age 39 due to endometriosis (stage 4). I’m 42 now & greatly suffering from menopause. One doctor said that going on hormone therapy greatly increases my risk for endometriosis to return and become cancerous however another doctor told me this isn’t an exact science. I’m getting conflicting answers to whether or not I should do hormone therapy and it seems like I can’t get a straight answer to this question. Does anyone know anything about this?

Anyone else get stabbing pain in lower abdomen when sneeze or cough? Only on left side for me so of course I’m fearing ectopic pregnancy. Almost 8 weeks pregnant and first scan is over a week away. I was reading it could be ligament related as well? hopefully that’s the case instead!
