Hi all. I’m a first year antitrust lit associate, seeking to lateral to a big law corporate group. I’ve had a couple full-round interviews this year, but no bites yet. Would anyone be open to chatting about making this switch?

Antitrust always struck me as one of the most intellectually stimulating areas. Any reason for the switch? Corporate will be very different…

Associate 4, I really appreciate the perspective. I’m interested in it because I honestly just think I’d be good at it. It just feels like the type of calculus that I’m used to and good at coming from a finance background. I also like the idea of being an organizer on a team, the pace of deal flow (in an ordinary, not ridiculous economy), and also the collaboration instead of arguing.

But I see what you’re saying about the realities of the practice. True that Antitrust is very interesting, and I may enjoy it if I stick around. I guess we’ll see.

Hey there—happy to chat. DM me.

Highjacking this comment thread—can you two fill me in on day-to-day of an antitrust litigation practice? I have been curious and would like to potentially add another layer to my non-antitrust practice.

I have 2 offers. Accenture and TIGER : Pypsark, Aws (2 yrs exp) . Please help to choose between two based on career growth and WLB.
@accenture @Tiger_analytics

Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.

I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.

Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.

Should I stay or should I go?

Hello! I see a ton of questions in here about interviewing and getting hired as a PM. I also know that it’s really hard as a manager to hire a great team. I’m the head of product at a growing startup, and just hired two PMs in 3 months. One a career switcher who’d never been a PM before, and one a seasoned principal PM. Whether you are someone who’s interviewing or someone who’s hiring right now, ask me anything!
