Hi all. I've been with state government for about 15 years as a sales/use tax and property tax auditor. Thinking about leaving to go outside of government. I'm having trouble deciding whether to try to find a sales tax/property tax position in public accounting vs industry and thought I would get opinions from you all. Also, any position I potentially seek would prob have to be remote, as I live in a small town that does not have many local opportunities. Thanks in advance.

Hi folks need your suggestion here it would help me i guess . I have been working as manual tester for 3.5 years. I tried learning coding and felt difficult so gave up on that. Right now i feel i should switch to a customer facing role because i think it's a good fit for me and also it seems quite interesting and engaging. So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.
