I would make sure with the recruiter that the role is still a permanent role, budgets can change and someone may not have the latest information
Excellent point! And you are correct I always like to double check. I’ve been on a couple of interviews and got to final stages due to internal changes. I total understand and appreciate the honest in the beginning!
Hmm, it's a little off that the hiring manager says that position is freelance and the recruiter says it's immediately permanent. Do you know if the roles are for the same account?
Yes it’s the same! I confirmed 🙂 Perhaps, I was overthinking… just felt off. Thanks!
Might just be some miscommunication and shows how well-qualified you are for the position!
Thanks so much! You are correct I just experienced a similar miscommunication from a company that interviewed for a few weeks ago. It was a great role as well met with hiring manager but got to final stage. Upper management wanted the role to stay in NY (due to some current client issues) maintain in person interaction with client vs being total remote. The Recruiter was sooooo nice 😊 to me during the entire process. She was so apologetic… totally not her fault!
I think you should just ignore the VP and focus on the first offer that has been given to you.
Yes! Thanks so much!
I think you are overthinking it. I really wouldn't read into that.
Thanks! They reached out to me and apologized…the VP and Recruiter not on the same page with actual Hiring Manager who now wants someone in different time zone.
