Joined LTI recently in P3 band. However not allocated any project. Got a call from the resource management team to relocate, which I rejected upfront as I was promised a role in the location I am posted. It has been over 2 weeks since I am in bench. I'm a brand new attorney (passed the Feb 2021 bar) who started an in-house counsel position a few months ago (where my focus is negotiating agreements for the sale of my company's software). Has anyone left big 4 or other PA firms tax transaction service groups for industry (or know of anyone)? What was the role and salary bump, how are annual bonuses/raises in industry, what is a typical work week (hours) like? I don’t think I can take this always on just to stay afloat life much longer. For context I am considered a high performer, am near the top of the salary band at my level and have a great supporting network at Deloitte. It’s just not worth it to have zero personal life.

1. How many rounds should i expect in total considering I clear everything? (I think my first round itself has technical + manger/director)

I recently switched job and joined another B4 firm. As part of the hiring I was promised with a sign on bonus. Now I have received the sign on bonus twice, in back to back paychecks. I know I have to somehow return the second bonus to the firm. Does anyone know how taxes work on this? As both the bonuses were tax deducted prior to deposit, when I return amount do I need to pay back the withheld taxes to the firm as well? Asking as the amount is big and don’t want to go in the IRS route. TIA.
