Hi everyone! Does anyone have recommendations for sensitivity training and/or de-escalation training and/or professionalism at work? Happy to provide more info but I've got 2 employees who keep bickering at work (about non-work related stuff) and we'd like to provide some trainings for them so this stops happening

Part of a BD now, thinking of going on my own as RIA. Costs would be about 50% less, which makes it seem like an obvious choice. Have a deep family friend relationship with current firm, though. Already spoke with a partner who wanted something done this morning for him to review and then we discuss again. Sent it to him about 4 hours ago. Should take him half an hour to review max. At what point can I check in with him to see when we can catch up so I’m not waiting in the office all day?

I am only 4 months into being a surgical coordinator. I love the position itself however I am struggling to adapt into my new work environment. My position puts me in a place where I need to interact with my new coworkers but they are not as welcoming as I expected. There is also another surgical coordinator however I have come to find from other staff that there is a long history of her running other staff away and not fully training other surgical coordinator staff properly. Any suggestions?

OR circulating nurse here. Will preface this by saying I have the utmost respect for CSFAs in the OR setting. However, wondering if any other OR RN’s have had issues with CSFAs feeling and acting like they are in charge of the room or attempt to carry out tasks that you as an RN are supposed to do? I do love having help, but we have one FA who hijacks my tasks and gets upset when i do not do things the way they would and attempts to instruct me on how to do my job

TFW you present a bunch of scripts at an internal check-in and get a great reaction.

Then the Account Director writes up a contradictory report with a totally different take on the meeting. It lists their “concerns” and suggests that it was “a good start” with some “possible territories to explore”.

But they don’t realize you recorded all the positive comments and feedback. 🤔

Mine called my personal cell phone on Christmas Day to ask me the status of her case while I was in the middle of watching my kids open presents. I’d just talked to her the week before and told her that the defendants had 30 days to respond.

This might be too ambiguous to answer, but I want to get better at taking iniative, but I don't know how. I can be pretty shy in work settings. I do things without being told, but I want to go beyond that like start projects etc. Provide more value.

Getting bullied by people way above my pay grade. Ended up working under a boss from an old shop who didn't like me then either. I have a gut feeling they trying to fire me or ruin me. What do I do?

There’s no reason you have to put up with a job you hate. I spent many years working in a toxic environment with a boss who gossiped and lead through fear. He wasn’t really much of a leader but basically a foreman. And he could make my existence miserable. I admit that it wasn’t easy to find another job but the bottom line is: trust your guts. If you feel something is wrong it’s because it probably is. Don’t second guess yourself. Look for options and and fight for your mental health.
