I have 4 years of experience as a SAM consultant and need advice choosing between two offers:
1. Deloitte India: Assistant Manager | ₹9.5L Fixed + Variable = ~₹10.5 LPA CTC.
2. HCL Technologies:Specialist | ₹10.4L Fixed + ₹69k Variable = ₹11.5 LPA CTC.
Deloitte offers a great brand but HCL offers a much higher fixed salary. Because I have immediate financial commitments, I am heavily leaning toward HCL for the higher monthly cash-in-hand.
Please Advise ?

My monthly salary is around $6.4k after-tax. Living in NYC. Do you think it’s reasonable that I pay:
- about $1.5k on rent
- about $500 on utilities and subscriptions
- about $900 on student loan
- about $2k on food and etc.
My saving goals is around $3k so been trying to adjust my monthly spending.

I am a proposal manager for federal consulting company. My base is low (112000) but I make up upto 50-70% of my base income with win bonuses. But I get the bonus only after the completion of one year of the base period of the contract. My question is -is this arrangement good or should I negotiate for higher base instead ?

Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year. Performance reviews coming at the end of the this year and I’m wondering 1) if my salary is on par with what I should expect 2) how to approach conversations about raises and promotion with my supervisor.
