Would it be looked down upon by industry if I became an independent contractor? S&O manager with 8 YOE. Unhappy in current role - work is not engaging and passed over for promotion. Have an opportunity to become a subcontractor with 1,200 min. annual hours for next 2 years. Take home pay would be 2X what I make currently, but would need to pay for my own insurance / other work expenses. If I do this, would firms I apply later for (after I figure what I want in life) look at this as a negative?

I got the Seiko SPB143 recently with the 6R35 movement, but it’s losing like at least 10-15 seconds per day. I know it’s technically within spec but not happy with the accuracy. Is it pretty easy to regulate these movements myself? Anyone done this? Also they get more accurate the more you wear them? I hear Seiko are inaccurate if in one position but become more accurate if worn all day.
