Hi everyone, I need some guidance in my job hunt. I have 1.5 yrs experience in working on a javascript based library and currently i m looking for a job as react dev/frontend dev. I have created quite a few react projects and added them to github. I m confident on my react skills and currently learning nodejs and nextjs. Hi all, was hoping for clarity on offers from FANG/Tier 2 tech I received recently. Base pay is still within range of 130-150K, but equity components have dropped dramatically. For reference, for similar positions, I was receiving grants of 150K - 200K over 4 years for data analyst positions (4-5 YOE) in Aug’21-Feb’22. For personal reasons, I did not accept these offers. Now the equity grants are coming in like 50-70K over 4 years. Is this market wide for non SWE/PM roles due to stock market?

I can’t understand, why in the big tech: data scientist = software engineer?!!!!! It is not… and it is huge disappointment when you ask for data scientist who can improve your results that you are not satisfied with, but you design all your technical interview around SE
