When preparing for interviews, it's important to not just focus on coding skills but also to practice problem-solving and algorithm questions, which are commonly asked in frontend developer interviews. Also, familiarize yourself with how React fits into larger applications, including routing, server-side rendering (which Next.js is great for), and working with APIs. Since you’re looking at roles that require 2 years of experience, employers will likely expect you to have a good grasp of these concepts, along with the ability to work within a team and handle real-world projects.
One thing that can also help as you apply is making sure your resume highlights your React projects and the new skills you're learning. There are tools out there, like Jobsolv, that can help you create a resume that’s optimized for job applications, which might make the process a bit easier as you move forward.
People want to know what you can actually do. If you start trying to be technical and they find out you just worked on a piece of a module or project it's not appealing. I am on my 7th interview as the Interviewer. Nothing turns me off more than someone that can't go from micro to macro when they explain what they do. Details matter. If you tell me you developed an app that does xyz I better had heard of it or at least if it was an internal project how was the software received within your company how much did you save by being on premise and not having your company on the hook for out of the box.
