I’ve been seeing all of the Instagram and Linked In posts from agencies in town showing their “commitment to transparency in hiring” and to hire more minorities in light of the BLM movement. I knew the numbers were bad, but holy shit, not THAT bad.
It’s infuriating to me, as a POC how many fucking times I applied, emailed and reached out to so many of these agencies without getting even the time of day.
I’ll believe their supposed commitments, when I actually see the results.

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Are you traveling during the pandemic or have client interactions been virtual? Lastly, if you are a consultant here, are you on billable hours? My current consulting role is not - so this would be new.

I’m interviewing at Google’s Treasury team. The role would be as a rates analyst managing their portfolio - primarily cash and short duration fixed income products (100bn aum). TC: ~150k, not sure of breakdown.

I currently work as a quant/middle office at a very well reputed mutual fund, but this is not a market facing role. TC: 125k, but they have a very generous profit sharing plan that contributes 25% of my pay to retirement accts if I stay for 6 years, so ~160k?

Curious what other junior associates at PR agencies are making off the bat? I earned my master’s degree last year and accepted a JA role for $36K. Do most firms start reporting years in September or January? Prior firm did an August year for counting hours and then another did January (both Amlaw 200). Looking at an Amlaw 100 to lateral in the fall (so trying to anticipate how much of the year I’ll have). I’ll ask what bonus/reporting year but just curious if most follow the same.

Anyone needs help in filing ITR? Today is the last date. Even if you have got zero taxes cut, you should still file itr. It has many benefits. Cost for filing would be very very less(250 bucks).
