I felt like this for awhile when I graduated college and entered the working world. I actually started in industry for a year or so then moved to PA (27 yrs old now). How long have you been working OP? Over time, you get use to it and find other meaningful your life that’s not work. For example, I really love reading and playing board games. Most of the time I don’t have time for these things unless it’s the weekend. And it does really suck to feel like you’re living for the weekend. But honestly a job is also what makes a lot of other things in your life possible. The best thing you can do is find a job you like or at least feel content with, so you’re not dragging yourself to work everyday.
Stressed from one of my main jobs that’s public and understaffed and poorly staffed. I’m feeling a lot of pressure from the great “opportunity” a large and difficult job brings and feel like I can’t live up to it and am not smart enough to meet those expectations. Would love to leave for industry but can’t imagine doing the same thing every day/month/year so it feels like there’s no options
I’m there too...
It’s a phase that comes and goes. Ask yourself what simple things in your life and job you enjoy. Make a gratitude list. Find a hopeful manta and say it through the day. Blah phases come and the important thing is that they go and you learn something listen to John Robbins on npr who lost all his $ with mAdoff (baskins Robbins heir) amazing journey of dispair and hope
