For those who have worked at multiple FAANG companies, what are the biggest differences between them?

I'm tired of being told to prepare for easy to medium level leetcode problems and getting straight up DIFFICULT ones in interviews. I guess I just have to expect difficult from now on no matter what...these aren't even FAANG companies.

I know that Google often lowballs nowadays unless you can show a competing offer, preferably from another FAANG. I am in the middle of interviews at Google and a recruiter from Facebook reached out. Trying to decide if I should try and get an offer from them for leverage. Does anyone know whether Facebook will send over the offer in email form before I verbally accept? I know some companies refuse to put anything in writing unless you verbally accept.

Can we apply for lower designation with higher experience in FAANG companies?

When FAANG companies are hiring for UX Design positions do they count all of your general design YOE or only the YOE in a UX role ?

Have been a L5 PgM at Amazon for one-year and thinking about opportunities to boomerang back at a higher level later on.

Anyone gone back to consulting, or is it better to go to another FAANG before boomerang? I don’t think going to industry at this point makes sense.

Concern on going to another FAANG is getting de-leveled/starting over. L5 is nebulous middle management, and it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle.

Are there any in house entertainment roles that are particularly good? Netflix is obviously FAANG but I’ve heard the culture is cutthroat. On the other end of the spectrum, heard the traditional TV networks pay terribly. Any other options? What about in house music roles? Is that a thing?

How much do FAANG companies pay in Singapore(SGD) for 8 YOE in the Data Science/Analytics/ML space? Also any pointers on other companies that pay equally as good as FAANG in Singapore for the same roles?

My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

Trying to get some salary data. I’m a 2016 grad doing global litigation in house in a major metro area (NYC/DC/SF). My salary is $182K. My company says that I’m being paid above market and that doesn’t seem accurate. Could others share their details so I can either (1) push back more on salary; or (2) adjust my expectations.

I definitely think I would like the transactional work better, but I am concerned about the long-term earning potential vs. partnership.
