Stayed in Sarasota last month. Ritz is very nice — I went there for drinks — although resort fee is exorbitant and no breakfast for plats.
Also the beaches in Sarasota are all about 2-3 miles away from the downtown hotels. So yes Ritz has beach club but it’s not on property. I wouldn’t be fussed about it, just get/rent chairs and sit on the main part of the beach.
The Modern is a nice hotel that is 35k points per night, and includes beach chairs and an umbrella with the resort fee. They are new (opened in Dec) and still working out some kinks so service was kind of hit or miss, but I complained and got 70k of the 105k points I used credited back to me
Thanks!
Or the art ovation which is also nice looking and well located, also 35k points a night
What kind of experience are you looking for? Beach all day? Fancy hotel? Beachy town feel? Looks like the Ritz is on the bay, not the gulf. The bay has more boat docks than beaches.
A little bit of beach, pool, and maybe spa. I’ve been to siesta key so definitely want to head there again for a day. I’ll be by myself so open to anything
