Higher offers at 27-28 with more fixed pay is from contract and hire/fire type companies. Mostly indirect hiring instead of direct employment with the final employer, means higher pay with lower jon security - we get little more pay, companies get the option to let go with ease later!

Why the heck do Recruiters and Hiring managers do such a poor job keeping applicants informed to the status. I had my time wasted with an opportunity for a fortune 100 position for 3 1/2 months. Phone Screens, Zoom Interview with hiring manager, Face to face with hiring manager. (Then asked for professional references) , impromptu Zoom meet with other leader who was completely disengaged. Then boom... six weeks of silence vague texts from hiring manager they were still going thru the process..

Job transition question: I recently accepted an offer for a new role with Merrill Lynch, the following day I was fired from my previous employer. I haven’t filled out the updated work history background check info yet. The reason for termination was due to performance expectations not being met. Should I reach out to my new employer and let them know that I’ve been terminated? Should I just put the termination update on the background check form and leave it at that? Wondering what I should do.

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

I freelanced for an agency as an art director for 6 months and recently got hired FT. I am struggling with imposter syndrome on a daily basis but manage to get great feedback from the creative directors continuously but still feel the same way. Hi! I started at a new company 2 months ago and while I’m really enjoying my job so far, I’m having a hard time gauging whether or not I’m doing a “good job.” My role seems to be always evolving, which is fine and I actually enjoy being a support to the greater marketing team, but I feel like I need better defined targets to make sure I’m meeting expectations. LMAO what do Afro Latinos look like? I just asked a creative to include more pictures of Afro-Latinos in our hispanic messaging and she said "I tried to find pictures of videos that looked authentic but they didn't have the right look, it's a very specific look". So no black people in the ad cause this white passing lady needs to gate keep who looks latina enough. The blond, blue eyed women in the photos passed though... UGHH.

I left Audit at a midsize firm to join KPMG erp implementation consulting about 6 months ago. So far they seem to only want to staff me on projects with a heavy focus on technical accounting and audit. Spoke to a lot of others who have left and seems like being pigeonholed or staffed on projects not related to the actual core work of the practice is the common reason.
