I had a similar issue last year-end. New org wanted me to join in 2 months however I had a 3 month NP which they didn't want to waive off. Even a buyout offer was rejected.
Now there are a lot of people who would suggest crossing ethical lines, but they're gonna get you in trouble and technically a career-suicide in the longer run. What I did was I went to the other side and rathee tried to convince them to keep the offer for a month.
See, you are legally obligated to your current org, so you would have better chances dealing with the new org.
Speak with the new company, after 45 days and say that your current client is insisting on a proper handover/KT and that is why the NP is not getting waived off. With another 45 days left, it's not easy for a company to find, interview and recruit another person. So they will agree with you. In the meantime do try to push your current company to waive off 15 days.
You might have to make a personal excuse. Ailing parents/grand parents etc.
OP what grade are you in ? Kids show that kind of behaviour. You are legally and morally obligaged to work properly for those 3 months and using it as a threat can ruin your career.
Imagine manager telling you that we will put it in your reliving letter that your conduct wasnt professional. You will spend the rest of life defending it.
First you lie to your prospective employer, now you want to threaten your current one unethically.. good going !
Lol! Say you sick of the company.
