Hi Fishes, got an offer from Cognizant for 16 LPA. Haven't resigned yet, having 2.10 YOE. Will it be a good choice to resign considering the little sight of recession, also layoffs done by Cognizant in 2020. How much Cognizant is stable now ? As of now working on 8 LPA. Tech Stack: Java, SpringBoot, Microservices.

At your YoE, yes, you will be a sure-target if at all a recession comes up. Currently the market is offering (YoE*4)LPA at maximum, and any firm can be sustainable until that factor (for exceptional candidates). Any candidate getting more than that factor (*4) will be monitored very very very closely. You'll have a floodlight on your work-tasks all the time. One small mistake, and it would be projected as a huge blunder.
I'm not saying you to give up the offer, I just am warning you of the potential consequences of getting such high offer at such a low YoE.
My suggestion for you would be to become a super-expert SME in whichever tech-stack you are in now, and even start focusing of creating your own assets/patents, for you to justify such high packages going further. You'll have to expand your capabilities into the neighbouring tech stacks and start understanding the big picture of any technical architecture. Sometimes you are expected to have client handling skills too.
All The Best.

Resign and increase your income. Such opportunities come once in a lifetime. Soon the tables will turn and salaries will start stabilizing. So make hay while the sun shines 🌞🌞🌞
At this salary, you will be one of the target fires, I don't think you or your manager will be able to justify retaining you over someone with similar experience but with half the salary.
But anyways Congratulations on the offer.
I think Nagarro will also be justify this kind of salary?
Chief
You can join but don't plan on staying for long. This is top 1% of salaries for your YoE at Cognizant.
Congratulations, I’m also close to your experience. You got directly your first offer at 16 ?
By asking and negotiating
Don't join cognizant. Recently a close friend got fired for being on Bench for 3 days. He got promoted last month so performance wise he was going pretty well. He is not alone though, 41 others were pulled out from the unit.
U mean in this month, only 3 days he got fired, I thought cognizant has stopped firing
