You're trying to play safe and get a lot of money. We all do that but honestly 76k in life insurance and <1L/year for MF and stocks is shocking for me. I think you need to review your strategy and get some good advice. Am sure ur insurance isn't term plan.
I have just reached the bracket. Earlier I was into bit lower bracket and bought some property self earning.
From this month on salary also increased and debt also paid off
Ur investment portfolio is very small , i should say you should atleast triple the amount ,
If u are unmarried and not tied with any big emis , you should do atleast 40% of your salary into investments
Index funds? increase your MF/ETF numbers
Check out Quant Mutual Funds available on coin app.
Their smallcap fund is a good one.
Rest you can choose some energy ETFs and some other future theme that you believe in.
Increase your mf exposure some sdls and corporate fds even some hybrid fund to get exposure to both debt and equity.contact me@9302340643for discussion
Please don’t consider amount going in insurance as investments
Second if you don’t like stocks I would request you to increase contribution in EPF and PPF they give out 8.1 and 7.1 ROR respectively you could opt for VPF to increase EPF contribution.
If possible also increase amount going in stocks and purely invest in index funds
I would suggest don’t look for advice online on stocks it will be a mistake rather do some analysis (fundamentals) and go with your understanding. Win or lose you will learn something. If you don’t know anything about stocks and also don’t have time for same go with index funds.
Don’t book loss you can offset with profit later on so that no tax needs to be paid
You can check for a shriram monthly income plan that also provides life cover and regular income after a few years of premium payment.

They sell on the insecurity of "not having a fixed income"
If you consider the monthly return they promised to minimum inflation it's, nothing.
Settling in the less IRR, means comprising on the power of compounding.
If direct equity is not comfortable for you, go with MF/ETF with tax harvesting.
With MF also you can have kind of fixed income it's call SWP. Systematic Withdrawal Plans.

why life insurance when you are investing in term insurance? any specific reason?
Otherwise invest that amount in some other SIP/MF.

Nikal lo, buy only one life insurance. Prefer term life. Dont consider it as investment, its more like a cover for your dependents. Prefer Mid term/long term SIPs for investment purpose.
I am married and have kids and parents as dependents.
Have home loan emi only around 35k and 40k homely expenses monthly
Adding 10k for transport and miscellaneous.
Let's consider after everything I have almost 1lakh monthly expense.
Invest 20K in MFs. You can split it into a Smallcap, Midcap, Flexicap and Debt+Equity Hybrid fund.
