hearing there was massive layoffs at concentric today. in the dozens. can someone confirm or refute?

I was just laid off due to COVID. Felt invincible when the crisis began but now feel lost as if my career was ripped out with the tide. Slowly gaining motivation to get back on top

M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.

I think I have work trauma not sure how it’s clouding my ability to make decisions. I’ve had unstable work after being laid off from a company 3 years ago. I thought I worked out a plan to get to a stable place but my job is proving to be unstable yet again. I secured a FT role at another company but because it’s a lot less money I’m unsure because I feel very cynical about companies in general. I assume it’ll be just like all the rest but now I’ll just be making less and could get laid off.

I’m a L9 consultant based out of San Francisco, California who was impacted by recent lay off at Accenture. I wanted to understand as per WARN Act California employees are to be given at least 60 days notice, however I was only given 3 weeks notice. Can I challenge this?

@PWC is worst company for freshers. They are force innocents to resign by themselves and threating then to not to mail anyone and not share this context to anyone worst company, if layoff means ok removing and threatening to not to disclose to anyone means the have lost every single moral. 1.I had two offers one is with Cognizant with 11.55LPA fixed + 45,000 variable pay. I was offered L1 position(designation - Associate).
- Only day shifts(no rotational weekoff's) + I get afternoon shift allowance around 5k per month.
-As per the Manager mention it's mostly WFH we need to come to office at least one month in every 6months(duration).

2.HCL offered L2 position with 10LPA(Around 1.5 Variable pay is included)
-No shift allowance
-Rotational shifts including night

I'm financially stable with no dependencies no commitments no loans at all

I've 3 yoe, and earning 17lpa from a service based company with decent techstack


I see my friends opting for ms in us
Should I consider this option?
