Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

Earlier I was with Deloitte USI Bangalore. I had friends in most of the service lines of Deloitte. Can tell you based on mine and my friend's experience, yes Deloitte extracts lot of work from folks. In the name of Firm initiatives (FI) and Milestone year they add unnecessary complications. For senior consultants there would be lot of expectations, you will find people giving up their entire life to impress Senior managers and Managing Directors.
Beyond your day to day work, you need to work on FIs and beyond that everyone should know you and above that you need to have good support from US stakeholders. At the end comes USI stakeholders ( Manager, S. Manager and Managing Directors across whole USI ). Everyone is very important to manage.
Now decision is yours, if you want to be in such environment which is highly rewarding ( if you can create a brand for yourself) then go for it. Else take any other offer
Thanks for your detailed information.
Just one query, if I may, my job would revolve around software development, not on business consultancies.
So, it's Senior technical consultant to be specific.
Now, would the expected work load would be same?
Weekends too ,😂
Well OP mentioned "everyday" anyway hahah
Absolutely true for major part of the year.
On an average yes! And at times you end up working 14-15 hours as well.
That is true
Lol ! Oh yeah ! And did we tell about the mandatory firm hours here 🤪
Really guys!!
Now I am feeling lill scared.
😨😨
Don’t worry you will get used to it 😉
YOE - 6.5 years
Don't know about service line as of yet.
With 6.5 YOE you are probably SC-1 (senior consultant first year) and your next promotion would be 4 year from now. The pay in Deloitte might be rewarding, however the amount of work and the enormity of slogging you would have to do is way higher. The technology in most of the service line is outdated (other than DD). I would suggest go for cross offers.
Thanks for all your information guys.
However, one thing I think i should've mentioned before is I am from software development background, and not from pure consulting.
Only on paper the role is Sr. Consultant.
Don't know if it makes any difference.
Nope ..it's same am also SC ...what has been mentioned above is 100 correct
