Hmm have they given you a salary range and if so is that what you’re targeting?
I’m not familiar with ZS, but you would definitely want something that’s a lateral move at a minimum with increased salary (and better career trajectory/exit ops) or a something you would consider a step higher with a bigger pay bump.
Pay wise is ok. Just not sure if it's a good choice career wise, also not sure if going in as an AC is a 'step-down' as an experienced hire. But seems like levels at ZS are higher than other firms?
My 2 cents:
At your YoE you seem more of a C than AC. But ZS does hire laterally at a level below your expected title. The ZS philosophy is that you must perform at the next level for at least 1 cycle before you're promoted so I guess they see you as an AC who's going to make C soon (1-2 cycles)
Again, just my 2 cents. I don't work in recruiting so insights purely based on my observations :)
Thanks for the 2 cents. That's a bummer though. how would they compete with other firms by giving experienced hires lowball offers
