Hi Fishies.. I am currently in Capgemini Invent. I have a good offer from Godrej Agrovet for digital transformation role. But it requires travel to rural areas as well and 40-50% is travel. Anyone here from Godrej agrovet limited or formerly associated with the firm who can tell about work culture or travel in digital transformation team . Thanks

Jus ask about project, other apps, languages used in the project so that you will get chance to addup to your skill set, check on work location, work timezne, your role, current project situation(in prod, yet to go live, went live need prod support)
Yes that will help

Rude?
Is this your career or their career? Do you seriously not value your career path and the things you work on?
This is your responsibility to ask about the kind of project and tech stack you will be working on!!
Yes that true ..thank you for the suggestion😂
Do ask them that will give you better idea which organization to select
If you are hired on project basis, then HR can explain about project. Now a days, companies hire for pool and then allocate the project.
Chief
Or hire in pool, put you on bench for 2-3 months meanwhile searching for international clients to match your skill sets and outsource you for 2-3 times amount to them and make commissions!
I had all my offer companies setup a business connect with my would be manager so they could get me a better idea about the roles and responsibilities, types of possible projects - to help me decide on my offers and they were more than welcome to have these discussions, you have to deal with the people and company on a day to day basis - if you don’t like it once you’re in there and the expectations are not aligned on both sides - they stand to lose just as much time and effort as you do, so it’s best to be as upfront and candid about it as much as possible, hiding and being too nice helps no one in the corporate world.
I called the HR and she said there will be one more round of interview at client side and you could asked about your skill set and what all you have worked on..
So I'm hoping that it would be more clarifying.
It's totally alright to ask about project.
It's alright to ask it. Nothing wrong
It's fine to ask for what your prefrence is. Also structure your words in a way that they won't feel like you do not work on any other stuff l. Mention with stats that
I have already worked on certain projects and have good command and can help the company in many ways.
Make it a little more deplomatic👍🏻
Just ask for a round with Hiring Manager. Ask questions to the hiring manager
Not at all, i always brief the candidate about roles and responsibilities and what kind of project he may land up in.
A good interviewer always encourages and welcomes such questions. it just shows that you are not going to be a robot taking orders later.
Atleast at ZS, the culture supports this.
Chief
Exactly.
It is the responsibility of both, the hiring manager/hr as well as the candidate to discuss these things, multiple times if needed, to arrive at a mutually agreeable conclusion!
I did this with all my offers at hand, that too multiple times. I would advice everyone reading this to do exactly the same. Always negotiate on the salary, and always clarify your role and tech stack. It will always help you!
It is not rude but project and skillet don't necessarily match... all u hv to do is OJT, on job training.. it is fixing car tyre while car is running... but no choice, that is the scene everywhere, all is well!
