Hi all - just joining and looking for some guidance! I am currently in an IT internship position (making pretty solid money considering) and following this summer I will stay on part time during my senior year (discussing a full-time job offer after already). I’m getting my computer science degree, so I would like to do something more technical in the workplace when I graduate. How do I advocate myself for that to my manager without sounding unappreciative of the position I’m in?

I have been selected as a Technical Consultant for PWC India On-campus and they have mentioned that Internship starts from January, but there is not particular mention about a Internship Offer letter. And so far the Placement cell has only circulated a Offer acceptance google form. There is no official notification from PWC India as well. What else can I do?

I am starting a 4-months internship at a company B in January. However, I just heard from a company T that they will interview me for their full time position.

Company T is paying me way more (twice) than Company B. And I like company T more. However, they want me to start working in February if I get this position. If I end up getting the offer, I will have to quit my internship at Company B, almost immediately after I begin the internship.

Is this okay?

I couldn’t get an internship while in school. I have a BS in ME and projects from school under my belt. I’ve also passed the FE exam. I'm looking at applying to MBB (Preferably BCG) for a summer internship this summer. I'm a first-gen Oxbridge student, and while I have little experience in consulting along the lines of MBB, I did work in the city last summer as an sustainability consultant.

I'm curious how important it is to have a referral etc and what you'd recommend for applications opening in jan. Any advice is super appreciated I don't have any connections to the industry but it's something im interested in. 

I graduated in May of 22. I transitioned from being an intern to being a full time counselor, now for 6 months. I feel like I might be catching my agency at a tough time, but as an employee it doesn’t seem to be trying anything to keep me here besides the occasional ‘motivational’ posts from the administrative team. Requirement - relatively better work life balance / stable pay
YOE - 4.5 yrs
All offers are more or less equivalent in terms of compensation (though fixed & bonus are highest at Shell) - close to 27 LPA total CTC
