Need some advice. I have been interviewing with Mercer at the moment for senior specialist role level c2. My current drawn is 7.5lpa with an experience of three years. How much should i be negotiating for while discussing compensation. I have taken advantage of of in the past because of which i am underpaid in my current organization. I don’t want the same to happen this time. Please help, thanks!

I started working recently. I got my semi monthly pay recently and I use all of the semi monthly pay(not including 401k and IRA) for rent. (So 50% in total) Is that too much? Starting salary is pretty bad in here.

Should I take this offer in a second line role with similar bad WLB as public? Current salary: 155k base, 8k annual bonus (7YOE):

17k sign on
25,500 (15% annual bonus)

I recently accepted a position with a new org. One of the benefits I asked about with offer was the parental leave policy and was told (in writing by HR) 16 weeks paid after 1 year, which is as good as you can hope for in US. Now I’ve been sent the employee handbook to review/sign and it says only 12 weeks, which is less than the org I’m leaving. What might my recourses be to negotiate 16 weeks when the time comes? Also, should I be viewing this is a red flag?
