I have a situation and I just want to know how things work, it'll really help me. I want to know that does a manager has the power and rights to put a resource into his team voluntarily.
To make things more clear, take an example. There's a manager, Peter and he wants me to work in a project assigned to him and I am at bench. So will the RM team assign me to his team.

Question: I have a client who started a restaurant. He leased the land and bought shipping containers where he spent money contracting out to turn them into bars. I’m having a tough time determining how to depreciate this! First thought was leasehold but he’s not making improvements to a structure...he owns the structure! But nonresidential real estate at 27.5 years doesn’t make sense either as it’s not a brick and mortar building. Curious on others thoughts! TIA

For startup founders/people with a successful side project: How did you get the idea/inspiration for your business? I’m currently working at a Series B startup and my end goal has always been to found my own startup, but I graduated from college 2.5 years ago and I still have not had any great ideas cross my mind. I do spend a fair amount of time brainstorming. I don’t want to continue working here forever, but I’m struggling to generate that “this is it” idea to build a company for. Any advice?

Decided that I’m leaving audit today. Trying to understand the full range of opportunities in forensics. Will have my CPA and CFE. So far, I understand that there are client-serving firms like FTI and then the B4 will have forensics arms as well. What are some other forensic accounting roles? Pros and cons? Better than audit? Going by current trend nothing less than 30LPA is considered good. There was a time back in 2019, when 12 LPA used to carry esteem and a major milestone for everyone, but now its synonym with lowballing and below ones worth.

I passed out in 2020. Studied a little full stack. While doing that for 1 yr and applying interviews. I finally landed as devops tarine with 1yr bond.the ctc is 1.2 lakh per yr. its been few months. I have been tarined and have been doing small tasks. After internship company told i will b permanent and the salary will increase.
I liked devops at beginning but now its hard.I am at crossroads. I like am thinking of pursing mba as i like management.
