HI Guys, I had my appraisal last month and for a surprise the person whom I am reporting to does not have a bit of clue about my work and does not have any idea on management as he is a tech person and staff engineer.

He was like what ever goals you wrote I gave a rating. But a manager should make sure the goals are taken seriously by individuals and guide or hint them if something is off about the goals.

Also he was like Azure certifications are not considered certifications.

Anyone here start out in PA and leave to go to law school and come back? I’ve been contemplating leaving and going to law school for years. I have 3 years of advisory experience primarily in financial services/ tech implementation/ and restructuring. Bs Accounting with a 3.2 gpa MBA with a 3.89gpa. Would love to hear advice on what I should consider.

I’m a 4th-year at a midsize firm doing mostly oil and gas work, but I’m looking to change practice areas so I can get away from a dying/morally problematic industry and move into EC/VC, Corporate, tech transactions, and/or privacy and cybersecurity (have CIPP/US & /E). I’m not having much luck with recruiters or applying directly to firms and companies, so I’m thinking of hiring a career coach to help me hone my applications, cover letters, etc. Any suggestions?

I have 3 yoe as a UI&UX designer in a service company and now in a product company(startup) . I wanted to know is it possible for designers to become Product Managers without an engineering or mba degree?

I have an offer accepted from Elevance 125k (Anthem) and w a good team and seems that WLB would be ok. Also, Amazon hiring manager wants to interview me for a job. Is just a hiring manager int. so obvi nothing guaranteed. Salary if offered will be more than 150k. My question is should I accept the interview and see where it goes?
