Hi guys, I just moved up in my company to Technical Trainer. The company loves me but said they can only give 48K in salary to stay in line with what most in the team are making (🙄).

I have classroom experience and coaching experience only, but no actual L&D corporately. Is this fair/average?

(I’ve not seen LinkedIn or Glassdoor ever give an accurate salary measurement so far.) I also do not have a degree as I was previously in a self-employed trade until the pandemic.

What is the standard yearly hike in IT Security industry in North America? I have worked for 7 months in Threat Intelligence in a company in Canada, and I got a yearly hike of just 3% in my first appraisal cycle. My manager says that you get 3% when you are meeting expectations but not going above and beyond. Is this the standard or am I being underpaid? According to me, I haven't gone above and beyond every day, but there are some things I did work on exceptionally well.

How much does a senior consultant make in Chicago in strategy and operations?

Money isn’t everything but in my late 20s it feels like the only thing important right now.

WLB is next to zero as 60hr weeks are the minimum as of late. Management feels like they are trying to push a few of us out. Was told not to expect much come year end for comp. Any suggestions on finding a new role/pay expectations?

Today I learned a new thing. One candidate was referred by a colleague of mine in the system. He got selected and offer letter rolled out.

When he checked the system he realized the referral was not taken and the background system captured it as direct hire.

So my friend is not going to get any referral incentive.

Hello! I am benchmarking on budget for my team. I am wondering what percentage of your budget goes to in house training (content made from scratch, peer to peer…) to pre packaged (content plugged in your LMS, off the self workshops…) and externally lead programs (with custo) !
