Hi guys!! I’m a consultant with a $106k base. Have a goal of securing an offer of $150k+ with decent work-life balance. Wanted your thoughts on roles and places to apply.

Primary skills are data analytics, Web3 marketing, UI/UX design, and project management. Also have a Computer Science degree and willing to brush up on coding skills as needed. And just learned a functional coding language called Daml created by a blockchain startup.

Any recommendations on roles and/or places to apply?

Based on your primary skills and background, here are some potential roles and places to consider applying for: Data Analyst/Analytics Manager: Look for positions in companies that heavily rely on data-driven decision-making, such as tech startups, e-commerce firms, or consulting firms specializing in data analytics. Companies like Google, Amazon, Facebook, and McKinsey might be good places to start. Web3 Marketing Specialist: Given your expertise in web3 marketing, you could consider positions in blockchain or cryptocurrency companies that are looking to develop and market their products. Look into companies like Coinbase, ConsenSys, Ripple, or any other blockchain-focused startups that align with your interests. UI/UX Designer: Apply for UI/UX designer positions at tech companies, startups, or design agencies. Consider companies like Apple, Microsoft, Airbnb, or IDEO. Also, keep an eye on companies building blockchain-based applications, as they might value your expertise in both design and web3 marketing. Project Manager: Your project management skills can be valuable in a wide range of industries. Look for project management positions in tech companies, consulting firms, or agencies that focus on digital transformation projects. Companies like IBM, Deloitte, Accenture, or even smaller boutique consulting firms may have relevant opportunities.

Additionally, consider brushing up on your coding skills, especially in languages commonly used in web development, such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. This will enhance your chances of landing roles that involve UI/UX design or data analytics.

In terms of specific locations, consider major tech hubs like Silicon Valley (California), Seattle (Washington), New York City, or Austin (Texas). These cities have a high concentration of tech companies and startups, which may offer the salary and work-life balance you're seeking.

Capgemini has verbally promised me 9 LPA but the offer is yet to be released.
Deloitte India has not yet communicated any offer, neither verbal nor formal.

I am more inclined towards joining Deloitte India as it is a bigger position than Capgemini.

Hi everyone,

I have got the ey hr mail stating i should provide him with aadhar card, information sheet and latest resume for a audit and assurance contract for 6 months as iam a semi qualified CA.

Here my question is should i take this opportunity. Cause since this is only for 6 months. After that, what i can do, where should I try to get the job?

In mid size firms, people won't pay as much as big 4 pays.

Should I take it or am I making a mistake by taking this.

Have you seen women wear ties and "masculine"-looking suits to work? Was it accepted by client and team? I've never worn a tie to work, but when I've worn clothing that had a more "masculine" fit either in grad school or some work environments, I've gotten comments and looks, or sometimes asked (or people gossiped) about my orientation. When I wear more "feminine"-looking clothing, I feel more more uncomfortable and awkward. 🤷🏼‍♀️
