Is there a way if we can find out if we have management capabilities? Everyone is of the opinion that we should switch to management after some point as we can't keep ourselves updated. I just have 4yrs of experience for now but just wanted to check if i can find out if i lack that and if yes how can I improve on that.

Has anyone made the transition from law to public accounting or tax in industry? Are you happier? I’ve been thinking about making such a move since there seems to be more remote opportunities in accounting. Advice or talk me off the ledge?
(My background: Big 4 SALT > State AG’s office (tax) > small commercial lit firm > COVID > city attorney > in-house (real estate))

Is it easier to go from McK to BCG or Deloitte to BCG? If one is easier, how much easier? And do BCG recruiters ever poach from McK or is that a big no-no?

Hello everyone. I will be transitioning from the Navy soon and want to work in the cybersecurity field. I have an active secret clearance, BS in strategic intelligence, working on a masters in cybersecurity, and taking Security+ in December. No work experience in cyber, just my education and bootcamp course for Security+. Should I still apply for job that want 2-5+ years cyber experience and/or an active TS clearance?

Are there any in-house jobs that focus on strategic thinking, advisory, research, writing/communicating with business teams? Or do they all mostly focus on drafting/reviewing contracts? I’m in big law and yearning for a lifestyle improvement but am concerned with getting bored in-house

Any advice on a first year trying to transition from family law to in-house? I always thought family law was my path, and used to enjoy it, but it’s not the direction I want to head in anymore. I don’t think I even want to continue with any litigation work. I’m having a hard time finding firms that are hiring entry level associate positions that don’t require at least 3+ years experience in-house. Should I start at a business law firm to get experience working with corporations first?

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

I am being asked to move to Richmond, VA for Sr. Mgr. Supply Chain Analytics role in an organization that is dire need of help.

I am currently at 146k TC, they are offering 190k TC.

I originally wanted a director level role to set the strategy, process, and tools.

Instead I am just being asked to develop the tools.

My hypothesis is a clear lack of strategy and no accountability for process compliance will mean any tools developed will fail.

Hi All. I moved to a new company , I just got my take home salary and my current pay is less that previous pay ,because of different state and other taxes. My new company is better but the pay is demotivating me . It is almost $500 less per biweekly pay check . What to do get out of the demotivation? I received a phone call from Airtel Digital yesterday. They are looking for Java Backend Engineers. The HR asked me about my NP. I honestly told them 90 days, but they are looking for someone to join in 45 days. I told her that I could finish my work in 60 days and join Airtel in 60 days, but she was not agreeing. She told me to start servicing notice.
The question is, how can I convince HR?
