I've received an offer from Accenture for only 5.9LPA. HR says it's impossible to go beyond without a counter offer.

I'm nervous to drop my papers without a second offer considering Cognizant will give me a promotion that will be higher than what Accenture is giving me rn.

Is it wise to drop my paper and look for better offers?(I'm unsure about the job market for someone less than 3YOE)

I am in the Houston area at an energy related tech company as a software engineer. I have been working here a year and a half and got a 10% raise (70->77) but don't know if I am being undervalued. This is my first job in the field but I am evaluated as a top performer and have responsibilities like mentoring other employees and interns, delegating certain work items and make some of our major design decisions as we move forward.

Does big 4 firms like Ernst and Young have up or out policy? Generally how much time does one have before being evaluated for promotion?@

Any Bridge Engineers/Structural Engineers in here? I got my PE this year and have 5 YOE in TX + an MS. What sort of raise would you expect for receiving your PE working in a consulting firm? I am EOR on a number of structures in development, I manage EITs and Drafters (within projects; I'm not a supervisor), and am doing a lot in general. I'm at 78k currently, which is apparently still in the upper range of EIT salaries per a job posting in CO. I'm thinking of 15% (5% merit, 10% PE). Any ideas?

How to ask Salary Hike to my Manager, How should i lead the conversation? Will it impact anything (promotion etc.). Please guide me as I am fresher and this is my 1st company.

A HR question I really want to understand. ISRS HR quoted a podcast "The not so great resignation" saying 70% regret leaving and many want to go back to old employer. If this really the case the employee likely left due to higher pay at the new company. If they want to boomerang back they will likely come back at even a higher rate than they left the new company for. So getting double raise when they boomeranged. Isn't it unbeneficial, why not just give employee a 7% raise in the first place?

Hello! I’m gearing up for my year end comp conversation and I’d like to be a better idea of what people are making to ask for a raise. I work for a large asset manager and sell alternative investments (PE, RE, Credit, Infra etc) to RIAs, family offices, and multi family offices. Under contract for nearly 1.1M. Wife and I are at HHI $315k. Will go up in the future, $400k in 3 years and $500k possible in 5-7 years. We have $300k in non-retirement funds, $260k of which will go towards acquiring the house. We have 2 kids and will probably reduce (not maxing) retirement accounts next 18 months to do this. Most of the companies look for JAVA full stack with Angular. And when we encountered with interviews we just got evaluated on JAVA 8, Spring Boot etc. If person having 10+ experience in which first 6-7 years working in Java 7 and since last few years working in Angular still they mentioned our primary is Java and angular good to have.

Being the curious, how could be all skills mentioned in resume would be current skill.

And then ask Java dev to work on angular and they mess up things.
