- Be as thorough as possible. Link all your courses to job descriptions
- Try to get letters from University Dean's saying that the course you studied is pertinent to your job description. Generally all US universities have a template for RFEs
- Get letters from your practice leaders saying that you have the qualifications to perform the job duties and have them give a background about themselves in the letter
You should be fine if you do all this. The EY law job description is very generic and hence why we get RFEs.
Chief
EY1, agree that their RFE responses are really good and their JD is far too generic. But over the last year I've been seeing that their petition writing skills have significantly improved. I'm seeing them mention very specific education required; the JD has improved but IMHO it still needs work.

Good luck op, I am third world too, rooting for you! Follow EY1 advice.
🎉🎉🎉 really happy for you :)
How was your process and which country if you don’t mind me asking
Hey Op, i had a similar RFe earlier this year. Just make sure you are very specifically linking every subject u studied in ur curriculum to every task at job , and add additional skills related to work, . Keep the job description a high level of 7-8 points and list 5-6 responsibilities in detail under each. Then link these responsibilities to every curriculum’s subjects ... did that and went through , good luck to you
I’m considering:
- getting a h1b specialist attorney to review RFE worksheet before I send to EY Law
- involving practice leadership asking for more communication and visibility into the legal arguments from EY Law (if not the actual content of RFE response)
- ???
Would really really appreciate advice; pretty stressed. Worked ass off from 3rd world country to get to HYP on a scholarship and really trying to not have my dreams crumble in front of me :/
Thank you this is super helpful!! Really appreciate the advice and will PM :)
Is this RFE for consular processing to CoS amendment?
