Opinions regarding the transition from a legal non-profit to a private law firm?

Is there anyone around here with a combination of Data analytics - Finance & accounts OR Data analytics - Audit OR Data analytics - Risk consulting ? I am currently parr of industry - my role was created right before i joined and everyone is clue less how to utilize the role(I took this up right after graduating my MS) ! 2020 grad M&A/PE Associate in LCOL area thinking about moving to a ECVC/M&A boutique. I generally like the work I do and the people I work with, but I really don’t like the hours and the constant late nights and weekends. Currently on pace for 2250. Boutique I have been eyeing has billable hour requirement of 1500-1600 and comes with a 20-25% paycut. Is this a stupid idea and should I grind it out until I can move in house? Will this ruin my opportunities down the road?

What monetary goal/target are you telling yourself to hit before quitting big law?

Currently a post-MBA returning consultant at MBB. What firms should I target with significant Private Equity Ops groups or value teams? Have to leave after 2 years in consulting because I was sponsored but want to make sure that I understand the point at which I should be reaching out, etc.
